Rooms To Go is committed to supporting its communities and will be donating a portion of Saturday’s grand opening sales to the Rockwall Area Habitat for Humanity, a Christian housing ministry dedicated to building homes for families who might not otherwise afford one by leveraging private donations and volunteer labor. The organization sells each home it builds at cost and provides zero interest financing to qualified families.

Located at 2846 Medical Center Pkwy., the retailer’s newest showroom will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. to kick off the grand opening festivities.

AUSTIN, TX (6/15/17) – Rooms To Go, the nation’s leading independent furniture retailer, will present a check for a portion of the proceeds from last month’s Round Rock showroom grand opening to the Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation on Thursday, June 22nd. Kristi Katz, Executive Director of the Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation, will accept the check on behalf of the foundation in a presentation at the hospital at 10 a.m.

Rooms To Go has a long-standing tradition of partnering with worthy organizations in the local communities in which it operates. The furniture retailer first announced its decision to donate a portion of sales from its recent Round Rock showroom grand opening to the Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation prior to the grand opening on Saturday, May 27th. Megan Campuzano, Senior Director of Development of the Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation, was in attendance at the grand opening and participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony, welcoming a large crowd to the retailer’s latest showroom, a facility encompassing over 54,000 square feet showcasing the very best of Rooms To Go design.

A New Store for Baton Rouge! A New Beginning!

There’s been a lot going on in Baton Rouge, Louisiana lately – some good, some bad. In August, Louisiana experienced catastrophic flooding that submerged thousands of homes and businesses. Rooms To Go was quick to help by supporting charities that were directly involved in the recovery. These included The Salvation Army, American Red Cross, United Way of Acadiana, Church at Addis, Youth Rebuilding New Orleans and the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. In total, Rooms To Go donated over $100,000 in furniture, mattresses and cash. Also, Rooms To Go opened its brand-new store in Baton Rouge on November 4th. The timing couldn’t have been better for the community. To further help recovery efforts, Rooms To Go donated a portion of its grand opening sales to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, which suffered its own losses during the floods. “With all that the area has been through due to the historic flooding, it’s important to be a part of the area’s renewal,” said Jeffrey Seaman, CEO, Rooms To Go. The evening’s festivities included a ribbon cutting, sweepstakes giveaways and appearances by community leaders and Rooms To Go executives. However, this was different from other grand openings.
