Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Network Engineer. The primary responsibility for the Senior Network Engineer here at Rooms To Go is to ensure that the performance of the converged network is smooth and optimized for system users. In this role, the Senior Network Engineer will contribute their ideas to the design, integration, maintenance, and supporting of Rooms To Go's LAN and WAN infrastructures. They will provide high-level technical support for data network systems, create and maintain network documentation, maintain hardware and software standards, and work projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures.

This position does require that the Senior Network Engineer be advanced with implementation and troubleshooting of multiple routing protocols (EIGRP & BGP, etc.) and multilayer switches at an enterprise level. This position also requires excellent problem management and customer service skills.

Specific qualifications include a combination of education, work experience (minimum of 8 years related experience) and applicable certifications (CCNP or CCIE); and experience with ITIL or other IT standardization models. A Bachelor's in an IT related field is a plus. A considered candidate must have a thorough understanding and experience on the intricacies of routing protocol metrics.

Technology experience must haves: Cisco Nexus (7K, 9K, 5K, 2K) & Catalyst switch features; Cisco routers such as ASR, 3800, 2800, 2900 series platforms; in-depth knowledge of routing protocols EIGRP, BGP & OSPF; in-depth knowledge of route redistribution & tagging; LAN & WAN protocols ( Ethernet, PPP, T1, POS, etc); Dual Hub site VPN technologies (DMVPN, IPSec, GRE); Quality Of Service (SLA); Cisco Secure Access Control Server; IP Subnetting , NAT & layer 1-7 protocols; DNS & DHCP technologies (Infoblox Products); Load balancers; High Availability technologies; Cisco Wireless controllers and access points (CPRIME); Riverbed WAN Optimization technology. 

BGP -- 5 - 8 years; EIGRP -- 5 - 8 years; 8 year of experience routing and switching; Nexus 3 -- 5 years; 2800, 2900 routers 5 -- 8 years; 2960, 3750 switches 5 - 8 years; Quality of Service (QoS) 5 -- 8 years; Wireless Controllers 3 -- 5 years
