Job Description

The Quality Assurance Inventory Analyst is a vital positon for efficiency and cost effectiveness of Rooms To Go's operation. The Inventory Analyst will partner cross functionally and utilize continuous improvement tools to research and find quality related issues. The Inventory Analyst will audit various processes in the distribution center such as product locations, delivery truck preparations, product handling, standards, and manufacturing information to solve inventory related challenges and keep operations running smoothly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collects and analyzes furniture repair data and communicate to the appropriate quality, warehouse, and manufacturing teams.
  • Investigates product returns to determine root cause of damages.
  • Analyzes product service claims for repetitive service reasons and conduct a root cause analysis; communicate findings and make recommendations for improvement to the appropriate manufacturing teams.
  • Analyzes replacement part requests for patterns and determine root cause; communicate findings and make recommendations for improvements to appropriate manufacturing teams.
  • Records all product return information and analyze information to determine repetitive issues; communicate those issues and recommend improvements to warehouse, manufacturing and quality team.
  • Audits distribution center warehouse locations for proper product stacking and orientation; document and report any discrepancies.
  • Monitors and communicate all manufacturing/driver quality alerts and potential product issues.
  • Collects data on inbound loads and capture defects; document and communicate issues found to appropriate warehouse and quality management.

Job Requirements:

  • Two-year college degree plus one to two years of progressively responsible experience in quality assurance or inventory research. Or If hired or promoted based on experience, two to three years progressively responsible experience in quality assurance or inventory research.
  • Proficient use of MS Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think independently, identify trends and suggest corrective action.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in a variety of situations.
  • Ability to maintain all job-related information in a confidential and private manner.

Additional Requirements:

Must have the ability to produce quality related reports and documents accurately and timely, and to work effectively within a large organization. Requires the ability to organize and prioritize multiple objectives, to integrate changing processes and procedures, and to manage time and resources effectively in a fast-paced environment.
