Logistics Documents Associate

We are currently seeking a Logistics Documents Associate for Rooms To Go. This individual will provide coordination and administrative support to the Logistics, Trucking, and Customs Compliance Teams. This position provides important data that helps facilitate the ability to track our ocean shipments, pay our vendors, and provides audit integrity to freight and product invoicing. This position is a unique opportunity to work with a growing company, and combine cross functional skills to utilize your experience in Logistics and Administrative support.

 Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to track and update Merchandise/Ocean Vessel status.
  • Provide administrative coordination, communication, and document control for assigned project(s).
  • Copy and distribute correspondence or other printed materials. Prepare all necessary data entry and confirmation of key milestones (departure, arrival, customs clearance, PODs, etc.) as specified by Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carrier, forwarders, customers and agents in a timely manner. Ensure proper transit and customs clearance documentation exists for shipments.
  • Correspond with internal and external clients / customers / vendors via email.
  • Maintain and create excel spreadsheets to update various Logistics information.

Basic Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 2+ years in related work experience.
  • Flexibly, highly organized, and process oriented.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of efficiency and accuracy is essential.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in the supply chain process while collaborating with multiple groups within Rooms To Go and suppliers is critical.
  • Skilled in managing priorities; detail oriented for processing invoices and data entry for freight payments.
  • Experience with GT Nexus is favorable, but not mandatory.
