Rooms To Go in Dunn, NC is hiring! We are currently recruiting for a Lift Department Supervisor. In the Supervisor role, you will be rolling up your sleeves and helping with any lift area tasks that need to be accomplished. As a member of the Rooms To Go Team, you will be a part of helping our customers to make their houses in to their DREAM homes! If our Sales Team is at the heart of our company, our Distribution Team is the backbone and provides structure and support. The right candidate will help to ensure that Rooms To Go is able to provide good quality furnishings for our customers' homes at a great price! Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily activities of associates that operate various types of lift equipment, prioritizing and assigning tasks, ensuring timely completion, setting work hours, and monitoring performance.
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks to integrate changing processes and procedures, to set and enforce quality material handling standards
  • Manage time and resources effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Effectively understand and practice of utilization as it relates to company products, bulk areas and racks.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of management experience over one or more departments and/or shifts in a multi-shift warehouse environment
  • Ability to provide excellent leadership skills, including the ability to instruct and motivate team
  • Proficiency in completing complex and varied administrative documents in an accurate and timely manner and be able to work with all levels of management
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication Skills
  • Most positions may require the ability to work flexible hours to include nights, holidays, and weekends
