Job Description

The IT Procurement and Financial Analyst is responsible for the financial analysis and execution of requests for the provisioning of goods and services for our organization. The candidate will provide expertise in IT procurement and be responsible to secure the acquisition of goods and services within budget and timeline while communicating expectations. The IT Procurement Analyst will review pricing, conditions of sale, contract terms, scope of work, software licenses, project plans, budgets and other documents to ensure the organization is attaining maximum value. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for quality, strong communication, time management, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives at the same time.


  • Respond to requests and proactively execute the procurement strategy for the organization
  • Procure goods and services, in compliance with all department policies, procedures, and standards
  • Collaborate with others to analyze inventory and proactively engage suppliers to secure goods and to decrease operational risks associated with out of stock items
  • Collaborate with departments in provisioning goods and services to enable us to collectively meet customer and organization goals
  • Review and validate purchase orders, scope of work documents and vendor maintenance contracts
  • Assist with negotiations of best pricing for best product for required need/solution
  • Assist with managing all IT vendors
  • Work with IT and Project Management as a Business Analysis to help gather requirements for their needs
  • Assist with RFX activities
  • Prioritize workload to ensure adequate capacity and timely delivery for current and forecast needs
  • Validate prospective suppliers in accordance with the vendor management standards and ensure vendor compliance and performance
  • Work with key stakeholders to drive improvements through communicating needs and requirements related to the specific business services and functional areas of responsibility
  • Maintain supplier records, contacts, contracts, agreements as well as compliance reporting
  • Maintain relevant supplier metrics
  • Build and maintain a Supplier Scorecard to help judge supplier performance and effectiveness
  • Reconcile purchase orders & invoices
  • Resolve billing & invoicing issues
  • Three or more years direct work experience in an IT purchasing or procurement capacity
  • Advanced knowledge of procurement best practices
  • Technical competence with purchase management software and procurement systems
  • Knowledge or experience using Contracts Management Software (ServiceNow, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Experience in managing an RFP process with multiple quotes from multiple vendors
  • Candidates should have advanced knowledge of:
    • Organizational and administrative skills, with ability to anticipate and resolve problems on own initiative.
    • Analysis / Data Mining and Planning
    • Executive level dashboard creation and maintenance
    • IT Contractual Agreements and Administration
    • MSA's, NDA's, SOW's, Software License Agreements, Software and Hardware Maintenance Agreements

  • Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Publisher, Word)
  • Experience with desktop database software, such as MS Access, is preferred
  • Minimum: Associates Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum: Formal training or extended experience in Procurement
  • Desired: Bachelor's Degree in a business or IT related field
  • Desired: Formal accounting / finance training or experience
  • Desired: Extensive data mining / analytical experience
