Job Description

Rooms To Go is looking for a Human Resources Specialist to support our Lakeland Distribution center employees. As an HR Specialist you will work as part of a team to administer policies for our associates assist in investigating associate complaints, facilitate new hire orientation and ensure appropriate onboarding process of new hires, manage open enrollment and wellness programs, respond to and resolve daily associate questions and issues, process daily paperwork, and other various administrative office related tasks. This position will be responsible for managing multiple priorities and deadlines on a daily basis. The selected candidate will be instrumental in maintaining our applicant database as well as assist with compensation details.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 Years of experience OR the equivalent job related experience in HR is acceptable
  • Experience in a Human Resources department is preferred
  • Familiarity of HRIS
  • Prior experience and/or proven knowledge of employee relations, Federal & State Employment Laws, ADA, FMLA, FSLA, Worker's compensation, and unemployment claims
  • Demonstrated communication and data entry skills
  • Prior experience in ADP Enterprise, Document Management Systems,
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and prioritize workload
  • Proven critical thinking capabilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Spanish language skills is preferred, but not required
