Rooms To Go is looking to add to its existing Human Resources group by hiring an experienced generalist for our Retail partners. This person will support a region with a variety of HR related processes, procedures, and policies. They will investigate a variety of employee relations situations, review unemployment claims, support the new hire and onboarding process while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. They will support the life cycle of our Associates while partnering with Regional leadership for win-win solutions. This position will require some travel to our Regional Store locations and is located in Seffner FL

The chosen candidate will have

  • a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field, or a combination of education and experience
  • a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Resources,
  • at least three (3) years as an HR Generalist dealing with Employee Relations
  • experience in working with a medium to large company (1000+ employees) 
  • proven interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization 
  • the ability to multitask
  • to think out of the box for solutions
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • strong technical skills (including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint),
  • excellent time management skills, 
  • the ability to maintain confidentiality
