EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Coordinator

Rooms To Go is growing again. We are adding an EDI Coordinator to our IT team. The EDI Coordinator will maintain the EDI process, coordinate changes to the EDI, audit the quality of transmissions, make suggestions to improve processes, and act as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting, including researching technical issues. The EDI Coordinator will work extensively with information technology (IT) staff, vendors and Merchandising, as well as other internal departments, to ensure the EDI program is working as intended. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing EDI transactions and understand ANSI mapping
  • Ensuring all needed EDI documents and mapping are processing correctly
  • Monitoring EDI transactions and communicates with internal and external teams regularly to ensure timely processing of all EDI documents
  • Responding to emails and phone calls directly in a timely manner
  • Performing data audits and quality control measures
  • Executing end-to-end management of all internal and external orders
  • Building and maintain relationships with internal cross-functional teams & external business partners
  • Reviewing and troubleshoot EDI for any errors immediately
  • Notifying all appropriate groups of any EDI issues in a timely manner
  • Overseeing investigating of all Sales and Customer Service EDI related issues
  • Implementing new trading partners

In order to be qualified, you must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience performing similar responsibilities within an EDI environment
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of document formats and fields
  • Working knowledge of the Consumer products/wholesale/retail industry
  • Excellent communication/listening skills
  • Self-motivated and results oriented
  • Consistent follow through
  • Strong sense of professionalism
  • Maintain proper conduct and rapport with accounts
  • Able to identify and solve problems in a timely manner
  • Organization -- responsible for maintaining all major account files
  • Strong attention to detail & ability to multi task
