The Department Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily department activities. The position will help to manage and develop associates and the right candidate will help to ensure that Rooms To Go is able to provide good quality furnishings for our customers' homes at a great price! Responsibilities:

  • Strategically manage various aspects within the department in compliance with company's policies and vision
  • This position could be oversee department operations, initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly
  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a warehouse department manager
  • Expertise in warehouse department management procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Leadership skills and ability manage staff
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, an Associate's degree is required, or an equivalent number of years of experience
  • Most positions may require the ability to work flexible hours to include nights, holidays, and weekends
