Job Description

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for creating, implementing and supporting web technology for our merchandise transportation logistics including US Customs law.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports and enhances existing applications
  • Designs and develops enhancement to existing applications
  • Designs and develops new APIs and applications
  • Participates in design reviews, peer reviews and peer programming
  • Keeps up to date on relevant technologies
  • Creates documentation for the team or the users to help them understand the products
  • Works with other team members as well as people outside the team
  • Takes ownership of requests, issues, and bugs as they become known
  • Performs other duties as required

Employment Standards:


  • Knowledge of applications/software (Git, Jira, Confluence, Javascript, Node.js, ColdFusion, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Selenium, Unit Test and BDD testing) is a plus
  • Familiarity movement of containers regarding transportation logistics is a plus


  • Associate's degree in a computer software related field required/Bachelor's degree in a computer software related field preferred


  • Experience with some or all of the following applications/software is a plus (Git, Jira, Confluence, ColdFusion, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Selenium, Unit Test, BDD testing, Azure, and Azure DevOps)
  • Proficiency with Javascript and Node.js required

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think independently, take corrective action, and to resolve customer inquiries
  • Proficiency in technical writing and documentation of solutions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in a variety of situations
  • Ability to act independently and take initiative to solve problems, implement solutions, and create new processes
  • Ability to maintain all job-related information in a confidential and private manner

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work extended hours may be required to meet deadlines, handle unusual workloads or to accomplish organizational priorities
  • Light travel may be required
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods in one location which may be restricted to the employee's workstation
