Job Description

Position Summary: Product Compliance Documentation Coordinator

This position involves gathering, reviewing and archiving all compliance documentation. Ensures compliance documents satisfy federal, state, and local government as well as internal corporate standards. May assist in the implementation and monitoring of compliance controls, procedures and operation processes.

Job Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree plus one to two years of progressively responsible experience in trade compliance. Or If hired or promoted based on experience, two to three years of progressively responsible experience in trade compliance.
  • Ability to collect, research and review data
  • Knowledge of Customs regulations, FCC, GCC, ISF and Lacey Act a plus
  • Maintain up-to-date regulatory materials relating to CBP and EPA laws, regulations, and requirements applicable to the company imports and domestic product
  • Verify all documentation is submitted and in order, Including factory/agent information
  • Contact Vendor/Agent/Factory for missing documentation, information or instructions as necessary
  • Liaison with Buyers and Vendors to ensure that all documentation requirements are identified with product
  • Develop/verify procedures to ensure compliance with laws applicable to imported merchandise and domestic product
  • Assist with continued development of Service-Now application for compliance certification.
  • Provide support to quality assurance, compliance and legal departments on ongoing tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, including time management
  • Ability to multitask
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Office 365 and Excel
