Job Description

Our Brookshire, TX distribution Center is adding to it's already amazing leadership team.  We are looking for a Department Manager to oversee and coordinate the daily Lift Department activities. This position will be for 2nd Shift and will help manage and develop associates and the right candidate will help to ensure that Rooms To Go is able to provide good quality furnishings for our customers' homes at a great price! •        Strategically manage various aspects within the department in compliance with company's policies and vision

•        This position could be oversee department operations, initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures

•        Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security

•        Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate associates

•        Produce reports and statistics regularly

•        Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided


•        Minimum 2 years of college with four years of management experience over one or more departments and/or shifts in a multi-shift warehouse environment

•        Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices

•        Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

•        Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

•        Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases

•        Leadership skills and ability manage staff

•        Strong decision making and problem solving skills

•        Excellent communication Skills

•        Most positions may require the ability to work flexible hours to include nights, holidays, and weekends
