We are currently recruiting for a 2nd Shift Department Manager for our Lift Department in Dunn, NC. As the Lift Manager, you will have responsibility for managing multiple teams of Lift Operators.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically manage various aspects within the warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Completion of timely and accurate administrative documents used to reflect daily production.
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
  • Demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks to integrate changing processes and procedures, to set and enforce quality material handling standards
  • Manage time and resources effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Effectively understand and practice of utilization as it relates to company products, bulk areas and racks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of college or equivalent
  • Four years of management experience over one or more departments and/or shifts in a multi-shift warehouse environment
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Leadership skills and ability manage staff
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication Skills
  • Most positions may require the ability to work flexible hours to include nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Lift experience, including a certification and the ability to operate heavy machinery
